iSPARX™ AR+Generative AI on Vertex AI - Artificial Intelligence

Generative AI on Vertex AI (also known as genAI or gen AI) gives you access to Google's large generative AI models so you can test, tune, and deploy them for use in your AI-powered applications.

A multimodal model is a model that is capable of processing information from multiple modalities, including images, videos, and text. For example, you can send the model a photo of a plate of cookies and ask it to give you a recipe for those cookies.

Vertex AI Gemini API

GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo

GPT-4 is a large multimodal model (accepting text or image inputs and outputting text) that can solve difficult problems with greater accuracy than any of our previous models, thanks to its broader general knowledge and advanced reasoning capabilities. GPT-4 is available in the OpenAI API. Like gpt-3.5-turbo, GPT-4 is optimised for chat but works well for traditional completions tasks using the Chat Completions API. GPT, which stands for Generative Pre-trained Transformer, is a machine learning model that is trained to understand and respond to natural language inputs. By integrating GPT-4 into the AR+ project, iSPARX™ will be able to create an augmented reality experience that is more responsive and engaging than ever before. For example, consumers will be able to ask the AR+concierge™, the augmented reality host, for information and advice about a particular AR experience, and the host will be able to provide accurate and helpful responses.

The advantages of this collaboration for iSPARX™ clients are numerous. Firstly, ChatGPT will make it easier for clients to create and manage their own AR experiences. The AR+ web interface and CMS, which will be integrated with ChatGPT, will allow clients to easily create and edit their own AR experiences, without needing to have any technical expertise. This will make it possible for clients to create highly engaging and interactive AR experiences that will be able to captivate consumers.

- the first AR+concierge™ - Orby.

Orby flew around a Roadmaster BP outlet in Melbourne leading customers to featured products & redeemable digital games & prizes.

iSPARX™ was provided a short brief - retail, AR engagement (“probably 200 retail locations - tops!”).

To our surprise the brief was a POC for BP with consideration for scale & installation of the BP Global network & 18,500 outlets… with 6 weeks to deliver a POC functional App tested at a location - Melbourne; 3 x 2 week sprints; multiple sets of International flights across 3 continents & with an entourage of 12 (6 x iSPARX™, 2 x Two Goats, 2 x EY & 2 key BP contacts).

#WeAreTheMainstream

AuRaki is an AR+concierge™ made by artist HORI as an artistic installation AS SEEN at TVNZ, STUFF, Mediaworks & other major media outlets in Aotearoa - a cultural capability tool.

Ōtaki-based artist Hohepa ‘Hori’ Thompson and iSPARX™ launched the We Are the Mainstream project in November 2022, involving a digital art character named Auraki, waiting outside some of New Zealand’s largest media companies to be invited in.

The character remained inside the building for three months and offered tools and support to help media staff gain a better understanding of te ao Māori and be more culturally aware in the work that they do.

Auraki is viewable through the Hori app on mobile devices, and will offer questions to media staff regarding cultural competency surrounding te ao Māori every day.
